Before you begin
The two things you are granting
You need an admin role on your Meta business portfolio, plus an ad account and a pixel that already exist in it. Sharing as a partner links Kismet’s business to yours — nothing moves, and you can revoke it at any time.
Ad account
Manage campaigns (ads) — Partial access. Build, launch, and optimize your campaigns and pull performance reports.
Dataset / Pixel
Manage events dataset — Full access. Send booking and browse events, build audiences, and run conversion ads from your pixel.
Open Meta Business Settings
Go to business.facebook.com/settings and check that the business portfolio shown at the top is your business.
Do not see Partners in the left menu? You need an admin role on the portfolio. Ask whoever set up your Meta account to grant it or to complete these steps.
Add Kismet as a partner
In the left menu open Users → Partners. Click Add, choose Give a partner access to your assets, and enter Kismet’s Business ID:
317073127652382Click Next. This opens the Assign assets and permissions window used in the next step.
Assign your ad account
Under Select asset type choose Ad accounts. In the middle column tick the ad account your campaigns run from. On the right, under Partial access, turn on Manage campaigns (ads), then click Assign assets.
Have more than one ad account? Pick the one your agency actually runs ads from. Kismet sends conversion data and builds audiences only in the account you assign here.
Share your pixel / dataset
In the left menu open Data Sources → Datasets & pixels and click the dataset your website uses. On the Partners tab click Assign partner, enter the same Business ID, and under Full access turn on Manage events dataset.
Share the dataset that is already receiving events from your site. If your agency installed a pixel, that is the one to share — Kismet will keep using it so nothing double-counts.
Tell us you are done
Back on Users → Partners → Kismet, your ad account should show under Assets you assigned. Email your Kismet contact the ad account ID (the number after act_) and we will finish the connection the same day. Progress appears in your Kismet dashboard under Storefront → Meta.
Already connected?
Switching to a different ad account
If Kismet is linked to one of your ad accounts but your agency runs campaigns from another, nothing is broken — our data is just going to the wrong place. Two ways to move it:
Do it yourself in Kismet
In your dashboard open Storefront → Meta, click the ⋯ menu and choose Unlink. Then Get started → Agency Partner, log in with a Meta user who is an admin on the business that owns the correct account, and pick it.
Share it and let us re-link
Repeat steps 2–4 above for the correct ad account, then email us its ID. We move the connection and keep your existing pixel so no events double-count.
Security notes
You stay the owner
Sharing as a partner links Kismet’s business to yours. Nothing is transferred; you stay the owner of every asset.
Kismet never needs your Facebook password. Access is granted and revoked in Business Settings only.
Remove access at any time: Users → Partners → Kismet → remove the assigned assets.
